pyPDAF.PDAFomi.set_searchtype¶

pyPDAF.PDAFomi.set_searchtype(stype: int, sortdir: int) → None¶

Select the OMI local-observation search algorithm and sort direction.

This affects the search for local observations used by OMI routines. This mainly affects pyPDAF.PDAFomi.init_dim_obs_l_iso(), pyPDAF.PDAFomi.init_dim_obs_l_noniso(), and pyPDAF.PDAFomi.init_dim_obs_l_noniso_locweights(). The search type selects the algorithmic variant, while sortdir selects the coordinate direction used by sorted-observation searches.

Parameters:

stype (int) –

Search type (option 2, 12 and 22 need more memory):

0: Search routine of PDAF 3.0
1: Re-organized search code
2: Re-organized and optimized search code with only one search loop
11: Search type using sorted observations
12: Search type using sorted observations with only one search loop
21: Search type using sorted observations with a computed upper loop limit
22: Search type using sorted observations with a computed upper loop limit and only one search loop
